We discussed his lasting impact on Roman history and the transition to empire. For the hands-on activity, students designed their own mosaics inspired by scenes from Caesar's life.

This session highlighted the origins of the Olympic Games in ancient Greece. Students learned about events like the stadion race, chariot racing, and pankration, as well as the religious significance of the games. As a creative activity, they made laurel wreaths to honor the spirit of competition.

From Carthage to Athens, students explored the major cities of the ancient Mediterranean world. We discussed trade, culture, architecture, and regional geography. For the activity, students created their own island models, complete with terrain, cities, and miniature ports, bringing the ancient world to life.

Students dove into the warrior society of ancient Sparta, exploring its strict military upbringing, dual kingship, and emphasis on discipline and strength. After discussing daily life and the training of Spartan youth, students crafted gold shields out of cardboard and foil to symbolize Spartan resilience.

Students embarked on an exciting journey with Jason and the Argonauts, learning about their legendary quest for the Golden Fleece. We discussed the challenges they faced, from the Harpies to the Clashing Rocks. For the hands-on activity, students built their own mini popsicle stick ships, so they are ready to set off on their own mythical adventures!

How did the Monarchy period of Roman History rise and fall? From Romulus all the way to Tarquinius Superbus, we learned the acronym Roman Noodles Toss And Turn Save Them. We covered all the kings' achievements as well as their key character traits that made them either benevolent rulers or tyrannical dictators. Afterwards, students made their own Roman King yarn doll---with crowns!

Covering all of the Olympians and telling their stories, students learned the very basics of Greek Myth! The activity consisted of making beautiful sock plushies that resembled the gods and goddesses---an instant hit.

Navigating on an interactive map, we virtually visited the Colosseum, the Forum, the Palatine Hill, and many more exciting places in Ancient Rome. After our last destination---the Circus Maximus, students made their very own mini chariots which they were able to race with one another!

How did the fall of Troy lead to the founding of Rome? We traced Aeneas' journey through the Mediterranean, from Troy to Sicily to Carthage all the way to Latium! Then, we looked at famous mosaics depicting Romulus and Remus as well as the Sabine War. Afterwards, kids made their very own mosaics with beautiful stones.

In an engaging lesson, students learned all about the Trojan War as well as the myth surrounding it. Afterwards, they got to make their very own mini cardboard Trojan horses! As our first, this lesson was a big hit.
